Candle Best Practices

First Use

To make sure your candle burns consistently and safely, ensure the candle is burnt until the wax melts to the edge of the jar. Due to the nature of the wicks, you may need to trim and re-light during the first burn. This takes approximately 4 hours. Do not burn for longer than 4 hours.

Empty Candle Jars

Whilst we'd love to offer refills, we are unable to do so at this time. We recommend scraping any remaining wax out of your used candle jar and washing in warm water with lots of soap to remove the remaining wax, labels and wick stabiliser. Please dispose of any remaining wick and wick stabilisers according to local regulations. Your jars can then be dried and used for other purposes such as storing matches, jewellery or bath salts. These jars are not food safe so please do not use them for food storage of any kind.

Wick Trimming

Due to the nature of the wooden wicks used in our candles, you will need to trim the wick to approximately 0.5cm before every burn. We are currently developing our own wick trimmers so subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date.
